totalitarianism in technology
Totalitarianism is a political system that controls society and the public and private life of the people. Totalitarianism can be within the economy, education, family, media and church. Technology has taken over our lives. We plan our days around technology. We let it affect how we think, we feel, we portray ourselves, etc. Because we let this technology into so many aspects of our lives, we fall to totalitarianism, and feed into it. Most people don't realize that the government has the ability to control everything that is put on the internet. Surveillance is used on cameras, search histories and computers.

I agree with this post! Totalitarianism has taken over our society without even knowing. We revolve our lives around the devices we carrying in our pockets, and rely on technology now for pretty much everything. People do not understand how much technology is effecting our lives, and how much privacy we have lost since this takeover of technology.
ReplyDeleteI agree, totalitarianism has had such a big impact on our society, especially because of technology. There's no secret that technology has and is taking over the world, and we can't live without our phones or other devices. Unfortunately, most people do not care or know about the effect it has on us, and how dangerous it could be. We usually forget about the dangers of technology, and especially posting on social media on such a constant basis. It can cause real problems such as people trying to find out personal information, or trying to invade your privacy just based on a social media account. We definitely have to be more careful and aware of how we use technology, even if it is so easily accessible.
ReplyDeleteThis is spot on Kayla, totalitarianism has taken over society and technology was the way in. Technology is by far the most addictive possession that everyone owns. But nobody really understands how it effects you or the people around you in the long run.
