     I feel that this meme describes the effects of technology perfectly. People are constantly trying to get their friends or loved ones to talk and their face is burried in their cell phone. Technology is taking the value of a real conversation and throwing it away. Now you can't hear someone's emotion because you're just reading a text. People do not feel like they have to sit people down to tell them big news, they just send them a text and that's that. It is truly sad that kids will all get together and still have the audacity to text each other. It is going to have an awful effect in the long run when they have to actual work with peers and communicate, and have a formal interview. These new norms that everyone follows is eventually going to come back and bit them in the butt!

You may not know it, but technology has a serious impact on relationships today.  Society has taken over our entire world and it is only going to get worse from here.  Advancements in technology are rapidly increasing daily.  Online dating sites have become more and more popular.  Due to the new technology, people have become lazy and simply "signed up" to find a partner for themselves.  What people do not understand is that some of these sites could be phony, and the people using the site could be fake, or even dangerous.  Technology is causing people to become more and more distant with personal contact and face to face communication.  Everyone feels safer behind a computer screen or a text message.  Back in the day, face to face confrontation was the only thing people did.  There was no question whether or not they should communicate in person.  They did not have the same technology as we did, and they simply knew it was better to talk in person.  Technology is making us humans become more distant from one another.  Also, everything on the internet or sent through a message via mobile device is permanent.  There is no erasing or getting rid of pictures and messages through the cloud.  Technology is extremely dangerous when coming to relationships.

     The industrial revolution had a mass impact on both women and children. For the first time in history, women were meant to have a role other then a house Mom. They had to go and work in factories. This obviously means that the children were left without parents, or were forced to work in sweatshops. These shops had extremely poor and unworkable conditions with little to no pay along with it. This eventually leads to child labor laws, but up to that point kids were being forced into this field of work.

Technology has a negative effect on human relationships in a few ways. Due to our phones being constant distractions, we allow ourselves to block out everyone and everything, including a possible romantic partner. When we are on our phones and the couple is texting, there are often times where one of the partners do not understand the tone or feeling of the text being sent. This leads to the biggest issue, which is having relationships, but not seeing or touching each other nearly as much as they should. Humans require some communication and touch, but these phones serve as such huge distractions and necessities, which is a problem that causes break ups or divorce. As weird as it may sound, humans need touch, and a hug is more significant than an emoji sent. Unfortunately, this has been an ongoing thing for years now, and there doesn't seem to be a clear solution in finding ways to use less technology when involved in a serious relationship.

Impact of Technology on Intimate Relationships

Lately everyone seems to be turned on with their handheld devices and disconnected to the loves ones around them. These devices have undeniably became a partial piece to our daily lives. Yes, we must be connected with one another on social media sites, but that also means we are distracted. We are distracted from the world around us, and especially our romantic partners. The key to each relationship is effort, and most long for attention, but now a days we lack to give them. The attention is drawn to the devices and not people, their is no communication between each other anymore. A relationship is two people, but now there is a third person in most pictures... a cellphone. Being on your device while your'e spending "quality" time together, only shows that you are more interested in whats going on, on the phone. It gives the other partner a sense of less importance, feeling as if they aren't enough to gain your attention. It's like a fighting battle with couples now. What is more satisfying on your device to completely shut out your loved one? It's a dividing factor. When you stop and put the phone down for a while, you'll see how disconnected couples are out in public. It's depressing, and potentially ruins relationships. Most importantly, ruining intimacy. 

Technology in Relationships

Nowadays, people often hide behind their phones. People do not understand the importance of communicating how they truly feel; instead they believe it is better to avoid all this by just disappearing.  Technology is removing the intimacy from relationships and marriages. It also creates a distraction within relationships as well. Couples have begun to communicate more through text and bringing intimacy to the phone as well. In-person relationships don't seem to matter anymore. Couples today most likely met online on some form of social media or dating website, which definitely sets a tone for their relationship. Methods such as "ghosting" have been developed as a result of minimal communication and the desire to avoid the other. Personally, i would be very offended if i was ghosted, and i would definitely want an explanation. It should not be that easy to just drop something, and no one should want to make someone feel so lost and helpless.

The Effects of the Industrial Revolution on Children and Family

Majority of the talk during the Industrial Revolution was on women in the factories, but I believe the children had it way worse. They worked up to 19 hours a day, with a one hour total break, and for little to no pay. Children were only paid a fraction of what the adults were getting paid and sometimes they would get away with not paying them at all. They also worked with large and heavy equipment which can dangerously harm them with ease. The biggest target for child slave-like labor were orphans. The factory owners justified their absence on the payroll by saying they were giving the orphans food, shelter, and clothing,
